Frank Wood had a great affection for painting ships of the Dreadnought-class and this is an excellent example. HMS King Edward VII was a pre-Dredanught battleship launched in 1903. A 17,800 ton ship, she is painted here by Frank Wood leading the 3rd Battle Squadron.
